Preparing for Pregnancy

In a world where assisted fertility is now a common practice and household phrase, we have to ask how we’ve got to this place?
Why are hopeful parents turning to medical intervention in increasing numbers, for a natural, age-old biological process?
What has happened to modern day humans? Why are more people than ever being diagnosed as infertile?
Infertility
Of course there is no simple answer.
I started thinking about this in my clinical practice as I had more and more clients who came to me with a variety of health issues, and as an aside disclosed they were struggling to get pregnant. Their health issues included things such as skin problems, IBS, constipation, fatigue, mood and mental health challenges, irregular painful periods and sleep disturbance, seemingly nothing to do with fertility, but I began to see a pattern. As we focused on regenerative health practices, and their symptoms cleared, most of them conceived naturally.
Have we as a society missed the most simple of concepts when we consider declining fertility?
How many of us have personally experienced delayed conception or been diagnosed with infertility? How many of us have family or friends who have been down the path of assisted reproduction… IVF? We know the heart ache and pain, not to mention the astronomical costs that some of our loved ones have had to pay. What I want to say is... "Shouldn’t we try rebalancing our natural biological processes first? Shouldn’t we assist our own cells and organs to function optimally before turning to medical interventions?"
That’s why I've spent much time researching and developing my Get Ready... for Optimal Fertility Course, to help individuals and couples to optimise their wellbeing with a specific focus on the biological processes of fertility.
If you are wanting to start a family anytime in the future, it’s time to listen up and get informed.
Plan to start your health journey before you want to start trying to conceive, this will optimise your fertility and pregnancy health, and give the best start to your child.
Research shows that key factors of the declining rate of fertility and the increasing rate of allergies, autoimmunities and impaired development etc, include living in toxic environments, disrupted microbiomes and stressful lifestyles... aka fumes/cosmetics/processed foods; bloating/constipation/IBS; busy mind/fatigue/sleep problems... sound familiar? These things leave our bodies depleted and without the nutrient resources that healthy adults need to make healthy resilient babies.
To counter these impacts of modern day living, we need to be regenerating health within each cell of our bodies consistently.
By engaging regenerative practices and actively assessing, adjusting and advancing your personal wellbeing decisions, you will improve not only your health in your own life, but the health and quality of your child’s life, and even your children’s children. Preparing for conception optimises both women and men’s reproductive health.
